The Community Outreach Program enhances student performance as well as their motivation. Each recital provides students the opportunity to perform their polished, memorized piece(s) and share with the community at the same time. Students of all ages and levels are invited to participate in these rewarding recitals of community service. Students also earn community service hours for their time depending on their piece’s equivalent to Certificate of Merit repertoire. These recitals are also very exciting because students are not limited to just the “classical” realm - their repertoire can consist of Broadway, Pop, Jazz, student compositions, contemporary pedagogical pieces, or ensemble works.
