FROM THE PRESIDENT...
Geese in flight are an interesting sight. There is one in the lead, the point of their formation and the others draft behind. They travel great distances because they take turns leading and resting. Ethan Dong been in the lead for three years. That’s a fermata term, well beyond our bylaws! We’ll never know what his service cost behind the scenes, but we all have been encouraged, reminded, appreciated and inspired by him. On behalf of Orange County North Branch, thank you Ethan! I am especially grateful to be the first OCN President to have a predecessor sitting in Board and Branch meetings. Thank you for breaking the preside-then-move pattern of our early years. Your expertise, light touch, and humor will continue to enrich our times together.
To finish 2007-2008 strong, our members need to be sure they've completed these four housekeeping tasks:
• Mail membership dues to the State office. Our roster is full so don’t lose your spot.
• Send Gary Hung expense vouchers and receipts if you want to be reimbursed.
• Send Julie Johnson photos and programs from Branch and studio events for our Scrapbook.
• Send Carol Hills branch and studio recital programs. She’ll mail them as an OCN batch to the State, so ASCAP composers can be paid their royalties. Write this MTAC ASCAP number at the top if EACH program: 500605062
